Winter Blahs

January has come and gone and I am afraid to say I haven't been blogging much. I have been painting and snipping and gluing my way through the month. I am happy to say my inpiration has come back in full force and now my compaint...if I must complain, is that I have not enough time. The ideas seem to flood in ..especially late at night and I have to grab the notebook I keep by the bed and write them done. I also have to fight the urge to get up and start right away. I love to work in the wee hours...but the next day I don't funtion as well. I wish I didn't need sleep. Here is a snip of some of my work as late.

I carved the lock out of metal paper. I then rusted it and added a bit of paper and mounted it on a painted canvas.

I also scooped out the centre of a light bulb and put an entire scene inside using very long tweezers and loads of patience. I had glue everywhere so I became very frustrated with trying to clean the glass.

I also made a pink cupcake sculpture and added it to my latest canvas.

I just adore pink.. don't you? The cupcake is made of foam and texture paste.

This was alot of fun to make....made me hungry for real cupcakes.

I am looking forward to Febuary and the first sign of spring..I have had enough of the cold.
